2 Dead In Plane Crash At Granbury Municipal Airport

GRANBURY (CBSDFW.COM) - A single-engine airplane crashed about 7:00 p.m., shortly after takeoff from Granbury Municipal Airport across from the high school where a football game was being played.

Two adults died in the crash, according to Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds.

The plane went down just south of the runway and burst into flames, according to Lynn Lunsford, the Federal Aviation Administration public affairs manager for the region.

FAA investigators are en route, and the NTSB has been notified.
