Body Dumped In Dallas Dumpster, Man In Custody

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Dallas said that they have taken a man into custody for allegedly dumping a woman's body in a dumpster.

Officers were called to the dumpster, located in the 2700 block of East Ledbetter Drive, at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses told police that they saw a man put a body inside the dumpster.

There, officers found the body of a woman inside of the dumpster, covered by a bloodstained shower curtain. The victim was later identified as 36-year-old Lashunda Jean Richardson of Dallas.

The suspect was still at the location when officers arrived at the scene. He was identified as 41-year-old Anthony Davis. Police said that he is Richardson's step-sibling, and that the two lived at the same residence. Evidence indicated that the victim died there during a stabbing.

Police took Davis into custody and charged him with murder. His bond has been set at $500,000.
