Big Rain Gone
I'm sure you heard the rain hit the roof and windows last night and through the overnight. Amounts were impressive:
There is a slight chance of light rain to the east of the Metroplex this afternoon. It shifts to an even smaller chance of rain in our southeast corner tonight for Halloween:
Your afternoon should see some peaks of sunshine and highs in the low 70's, typical for the last day of October. Tonight is Halloween and the forecast looks dry but a little chilly:
October turned out to be the second wettest month we've had this year. In fact its the 2nd wettest October on record. We have 60 days left in 2015 and we only need 4.63" of rain to become the wettest year on record (that's 117 years of records):
Tomorrow we'll likely see light-to-moderate rain most of the day in our eastern counties. The Metro should stay dry in case you are heading to AT&T Stadium:
We have yet another big rain right back in the forecast. It looks like it shows up on Thursday and Friday. Same set-up as the last two big rain events in as many weeks. A very powerful upper-level low swings into the desert southwest. Just ahead of it Gulf Moisture pulls in. Then the front produces a good rain:
A couple of days of dry and very nice Fall weather ahead until then:
