Bicyclist Killed In Arlington Hit-And-Run

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- A man riding his bicycle was hit and killed by a driver early Monday morning on the service road of State Highway 360 in Arlington.

Officers were dispatched to the scene near Abram Street around 1 a.m. after a passing motorist discovered the body. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash had fled the scene.

Based on evidence at the scene, investigators believe the bicyclist was traveling northbound on the service road when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. Authorities do not currently have a suspect or vehicle description.

The identity of the bicyclist has not been released pending family notification.
