Misleading Labels
And if you think all Kind Snack Bars are healthy, think again.
The Food and Drug Administration has written a letter to the makers of Kind Bars to stop marketing four bars as healthy snack.
They are:
Fruit & Nut Almond & Apricot,
Fruit & Nut Almond & Coconut,
Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Protein
Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew + Antioxidants
FDA says the bars contain twice the amount of saturated fat than the government standard.
The company says the nuts in bars puts them over the top with fat content.
App To Reduce Food Waste
If you're hoping to reduce food waste, there's an app that can help you do that.
It's called Food Keeper, available on Android and apple phones. It helps you look up how long you can keep food so you don't throw away what may be OK to eat.
It also reminds you to eat the food before you have to throw it away.
