Attempted Child Abduction Reported In Johnson County

VENUS (CBSDFW.COM) - A mother called Johnson County 9-1-1 early Thursday morning saying someone tried to nab her son from their yard.
Around 5:50 a.m. the woman says her 11-year-old son took their dog outside and put the dog on its run leash. A short time later, the mother heard her son screaming while running onto the front porch in the 11000 block of Foothills Drive.
The mother told the responding deputy a man chased after her son and tried to grab him as he was feeding the dog.
The mother looked out the front door and observed a dark colored pickup truck (unknown make and model) drive away heading north on Foothills Drive.
The child said the man was white and had a brownish red beard, wearing a dark orange shirt, with broad shoulders, and his beard was a goatee style beard approximately 8 inches in length.
