ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Arlington are looking for three suspects who tried to take an ATM from a convenience store on Wednesday morning. The incident took place at about 4:00 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 360 and Watson Road, not far from Six Flags Over Texas.

According to authorities, the three masked men tried to ram into a 7-Eleven gas station with the back of a pickup truck. However, they struck a fence and a pillar and were unable to make it into the store. The suspects left the scene, leaving the truck behind.

Police later said that the pickup truck was reported stolen in Dallas.

A witness stated that the suspects were all wearing ski masks. Two of the men exited the truck to pick up the ATM while the third suspect remained in the vehicle. That witness was able to spray two of the suspects with mace before they fled.

The convenience store was not significantly damaged during the incident and stayed open for business on Wednesday. Nobody was injured during the attempted heist. Law enforcement officials are still investigating the case and searching for the three suspects.
