DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) Dallas Fire-Rescue wants to know what triggered three different calls to put out car fires this morning in less than two hours. Now they confirm it as arson.

A police helicopter thermal imaging pic captured someone near one of the cars during the third call, about 3:30 A-M.

At least five vehicles were torched. An unknown number of other cars were damaged from flames because they were parked in adjoining spaces.

Like a van driven by Gregory Williams. It lost two windows and some peeled paint. "Woke up this morning to pick my mom up from work and saw it," Williams told CBS 11. He's stumped about the motive. "I don't know, I can't explain the reaction."

Dallas Fire-Rescue says it was called to the Solana Ridge Apartments three times in less than two hours. The complex is located on Chariot near Buckner Boulevard in East Dallas.

Roberto Chavez didn't see the person, but saw what happened next. "I'm just headed for work and I passed and I see the fire. All the fire. This car and all the cars, and I called the ambulance and she say they already come two times. I don't know what happened," Chavez said.

Police urge everyone here at Solana to be vigilant. People, understandably, are scared. Like Brandi Williams, who looked at her burned-out van. "It...it's messed up," she told CBS 11 News. "It hurt . I feel violated. I feel unsafe if people just come out here and just somebody can just walk around here and set people's car on fire and nobody knows (anything). Nobody knocked on the door. If I wouldn't be going to work I wouldn't know if it was done."

Dallas Fire-Rescue arson investigators were back on the site late Tuesday. No arrests or word on suspects were announced. Fortunately no one was reported hurt.
