ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – From mailers to lawn signs and a major social media push, the 'pro new stadium' in Arlington campaign seems much better orchestrated and far more financially backed than the opposition.

And Monday, on the first day of voting into the last two weeks of the campaign, city leaders took advantage of a photo opportunity at city council to show their support. The city council, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, police and fire fighter's associations, the Texas Rangers manager and coach were all there in support of a new $1 billion stadium.

"We have a leaders of our community all lined up behind voting 'YES' to keep our rangers," said Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams.

But people in favor of saving the current stadium are optimistic, even more so after learning a recent poll shows the vote on the stadium could be very close.

"I feel really good. I really do think it's going to come down to these last two weeks because we have so many people showing up who've never voted before and all they've gotten his eight mailers from the 'YES' side. We haven't done any mailings," said Warren Norred with Save Our Stadium.

The Save Our Stadium campaign is also using volunteers at polling places to get their message to voters who may shows undecided about how they will vote on the stadium.

People on both sides of the battle say their fight for votes will ramp up in the next two weeks.
