FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN) - When it comes to Cowboys-Redskins, pundits are fond of saying, "You can throw the records out the window.'' But in fact, when it comes to this series and when it comes to right around Thanksgiving, this stuff is more predictable that some know.

To wit:

*That was Dallas' seventh win in the series on Thanksgiving Day in eight meetings.

*When the Cowboys have a winning record and then play the Redskins, Dallas' record in the meeting is now 29-17-1. When the Redskins have a winning record, the record is 23-11. When both teams are winners, the all-time mark is 15-16-1.

*The Cowboys, thanks to having downed the Ravens eight days ago, have now won 13 straight pre-Thanksgiving games.

Now, what's not so predictable is what comes next, with Dallas at Minnesota on Thursday. There isn't much track record there. Such a setup has only occurred twice.

In 2007, the Cowboys won back-to-back Thursday games by beating the Jets on Thanksgiving and then the Packers a week later. In 2014, the Cowboys lost to Philly on Thanksgiving but then beat Chicago the following Thursday.
