DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - At approximately 6:14p.m. Wednesday, Dallas Water Utilities experienced a failure on the 24-inch diameter pipeline located within the 9800 block of Marsh Lane.

Water personnel received the call at 6:17p.m. and arrived on site at 6:45p.m.

The pipeline failure impacted traffic within the 9500 thru the 9900 block of Marsh Lane. Currently both north and southbound lanes are closed. Dallas police officers are on site assisting with traffic control.

Water personnel are currently isolating the pipeline and approximately 20 customers will be affected.

Repairs of the pipeline are expected to take about 16 hours.

The water line that runs under Marsh Lane ruptured again only a few feet from where repair crews were last week.
