Update: The young girl, identified as Wavery Williams, was pronounced dead Friday morning.  Initial reports indicated she was eight years old.  She was, in fact, six years old.

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A six-year-old girl has been pulled from a community pool in Fort Worth.

This happened at the Cobb Park Apartments on East Berry Street.

MedStar reports she was not conscious or breathing at the time.  Emergency crews performed CPR.

The child was rushed to Cook Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Sharon West, who pulled the child out of the pool, says there were no parents at the pool but a lot of kids.  A child came over to her and said there was another child in the bottom of the pool.

She says two men performed CPR on her until EMS crews arrived.

This is a developing story.
