Suspect arrested, AMBER Alert canceled for San Marcos 2-year-old

SAN MARCOS — A 2-year-old boy was found safe in San Marcos, as police arrested a suspect.

An Amber Alert had been issued for the little boy Saturday evening. Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, 46-year-old Joey Torres was taken into custody after officers responded to a call in the 4500 block of Live Oak St.

This is an ongoing investigation.
