DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Texas A&M quarterback commit Kyler Murray has announced his intentions to withdraw from the MLB First-Year Player Draft in June.

Murray, one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the 2015 recruiting class, will instead focus on playing both football and baseball at Texas A&M University.

In MLB.com's 2015 Prospect Watch list, Murray was listed as the No. 34 prospect.

Murray was named the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors Player of the Year after leading Allen's football team to a 43-0 record and three straight state championships.

Kyler is the son of former Texas A&M quarterback Kevin Murray.
