June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. Did you know that 47 million people are living with Alzheimer's and other dementias worldwide?

Alzheimer's is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. For more information call the 24/7 help line at 1-800-272-3900 or click here.

The UNT Health Science Center is seeking patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease to participate in clinical drug trials. Those interested can call 817-735-2694 or send an email to Kim Brown (kim.brown@unthsc.edu) at the UNT Health Science Center.
