AUSTIN (AP) - The alleged "I-35 serial rock thrower"  has been convicted of sexual abuse.

On Thursday, an Austin jury convicted Patrick Eugene Johnson of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, after molesting a boy on several occasions since 2012.

In addition to the sexual assault, the 60-year-old Johnson still faces multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested in June after throwing rocks at vehicles, which began in 2014.

According to AP, prior to Johnson's arrest, he injured three motorists with rocks--one person suffered brain damage.

Travis County jurors will determine punishment for Johnson, who is currently facing up to life in prison for sexual abuse.
