Aledo High School Student Dies After Being Rushed To Hospital

ALEDO (CBSDFW.COM) - Tuesday was a tough one for the students at Aledo High School, where a sophomore died after being rushed to the hospital on Monday.
According to reports, Trenten Darton was rushed from the school campus on Bailey Ranch Road to Cook Children's Hospital on Monday afternoon. But no one has said why.
A statement from Aledo Independent School District superintendent Dr. Derek Citty on Tuesday said, "Early this morning, we received the very sad news that a member of the Bearcat family passed away. Aledo ISD extends sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Trenten."
The school is not releasing any further information out of respect for the family's privacy.

Many people have taken to Facebook to offer condolences. Additionally, counselors were made available for students and staff members at Aledo High School.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the cause of death.
