COPPELL (AP) — Retail gasoline prices across Texas are up 2 cents this week to reach an average $1.97 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the nationwide price at the pump held steady this week at an average $2.21 per gallon.

The association survey found Corpus Christi has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at $1.88 per gallon. Drivers in El Paso are paying the most statewide at an average $2.01 per gallon.

Association experts say gasoline prices in parts of the U.S. continued their upward momentum in the wake of a Colonial Pipeline leak. Operations were restored last week.
