8th DWI Lands Trophy Club Man In Jail

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Trophy Club man is facing decades behind bars after being charged with DWI for the eighth time.
When 68-year old Harold Moore crashed into the back of another vehicle last November he was on probation for a 2006 DWI conviction in which he spent four years in prison.
According to police, Moore's blood alcohol level registered 0.27 after his SUV hit a car that was stopped at a red light. The legal limit for BAC in Texas is 0.08.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving's Jason Derscheid says the justice system has been lenient with Moore because he hasn't hurt anyone, but the Texas law needs to change.
Moore was required to have an ignition interlock on his car but he didn't. If convicted, Moore faces 20 year behind bars for this case and another 10 years for the revocation of his probation.
Moore was first arrested for DWI in 1992.
