TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Autumn Fought is a little girl from West Texas who has overcome some big obstacles to participate in the physically demanding sport of gymnastics.

Full of energy and eager to learn, the first grader suffered from a prenatal stroke before birth and was born prematurely at 29 weeks. When Fought was three, the muscles in her legs started to die. Doctors performed amputations at the knee on both her legs.

After her surgery, Autumn's parents Brandi and Brandon Fought got her into Seals Gymnastics.

"Nurses called her Diva in the NICU and it still rings true," said Fought's mother.

Fought and her coach Faigth Wade now have an unbreakable bond.

"Autumn is very, very strong minded. And loves to prove people wrong," said Wade. "And she does what she wants, in her own way."

While Faith teaches Autumn to overcome her fears of learning new skills, the little girl with a big heart teaches Faith that when you are brave... you are unstoppable.
