19-Year-Old Arrested In Louisiana After Stealing Dallas Fire-Rescue Ambulance

DALLAS, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) — Police are investigating after a Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance was stolen on February 2.

Officials said paramedics at Fire Station 53, on John West Road - near North Buckner Boulevard, went to the ambulance to respond to a call only to find it missing. The vehicle was later spotted in Lindale, near Tyler and finally on Interstate 20 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

State police chased the suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Kendall Tyson, until the teenager got caught in a traffic backup.

Officers who captured Tyson said the girl seemed impaired. While sobriety tests were conducted, authorities didn't reveal the results.

Tyson is facing a myriad of charges including -- possession of a stolen vehicle, driving while intoxicated, and driving without a driver's license.
