1 Dead In Crash Near Arlington Entertainment District

ARLINGTON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - One person is dead after a crash near the entertainment district of Arlington Monday morning, police say.

Police responded to the crash at around 7:45 a.m. near Division Street and Stadium Drive.

According to police, a passenger vehicle was leaving a business parking lot and was turning eastbound onto Division Street. As the driver was turning, a box truck going westbound crashed into the passenger vehicle.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified by the medical examiner as 27-year-old Heriberta Zavala of Dallas.

Police said the occupants of the box truck were not injured and are cooperating with the investigation.
