Woman Robbed Near UC Berkeley
BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- A female victim was robbed of her purse and cellphone early Friday morning near the University of California at Berkeley campus, police said.
The strong-arm robbery occurred at 12:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of Bancroft Way.
Three suspects approached the victim as she was walking and took her purse and cellphone before they left the area in a sedan, according to police.
Officers searched the area but did not find the suspects. Police said they are looking for two male suspects and a female suspect.
All are reported to be in their 20s and were wearing dark clothing, police said.
