Woman Hit By Car In San Francisco's Sunset District Where Man Was Hit In February

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A 21-year-old woman was struck and injured by a car while walking in San Francisco's Sunset District Thursday afternoon, police and fire officials said.

The incident was reported at 2:38 p.m. at Sunset Boulevard and Yorba Street, according to a fire official.

The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, San Francisco police Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

Newman said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.

The intersection is the same place where 78-year-old Isaak Berenzon was fatally struck on Feb. 4.

Jenny Ching, 71, was arrested and cited on suspicion of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk for Berenzon's death.
