Two-Alarm Fire Damages 3 Emeryville Homes, 2 Women And Child Hospitalized

EMERYVILLE (CBS SF) -- A two-alarm fire erupted in an Emeryville neighborhood Wednesday morning, damaging three homes and injuring six residents, sending two women and a child to the hospital, authorities said.

The fire was reported at around 8:45 a.m. among homes in the densely packed neighborhood in the 1000 block of 47th Street. Helicopter video showed firefighters battling flames at two homes and emergency medical people on the scene.

Two Victorians were heavily damaged by the flames and a third home suffered additional damage.

Three of the injured were treated at the scene, while the two women and child suffered burn injuries that required hospital treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The source of the fire remained under investigation.
