Traffic Backed Up After Big-Rig Crash Blocks All Lanes Of Eastbound San Mateo Bridge

SAN MATEO (CBS SF) - All eastbound lanes of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge are blocked this afternoon because of a three-vehicle collision just west of the bridge's high-rise, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The first report of the collision involving an overturned truck and a big-rig came in at 1:42 p.m., CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.

CHP officials initially said the two right eastbound lanes were blocked, but updated shortly after 2:15 p.m. that all lanes were blocked.

Minor injuries were reported in the collision, according to the CHP.
