Search Intensifies For Missing 2-Year-Old SF Girl Whose Mother Was Found Dead

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- An urgent search intensified for a two-year-old girl whose mother was found dead in San Francisco three days ago.

Police said they are employing numerous resources in the search for Arianna Fitts around the clock.

Friends and relatives are waiting for news about the girl and hoping she is found safe.

They consider the girl to be at risk because she is so young, and because her mother was killed.

32-year-old Nicole Fitts was found dead on Friday night after she had been reported missing a week earlier. She was last seen alive on April 1st.

Nicole Fitts worked at a Best Buy store in the Mission District.

Her body was found in McLaren Park in the excelsior district, and the San Francisco medical examiner is still working to determine a cause of death.

Police are not saying if they have identified any suspects.
