San Jose pedestrian criticallly hurt after being struck by vehicle

A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in San Jose early Sunday morning.

The San Jose Police Department said in a social media post that the person was struck at about 4:30 a.m. at Senter Road and East Capitol Expressway in South San Jose.

Roads in the area were closed during the investigation and were not reopened until about noon.

The department did not disclose any additional information.
