Lake Fire evacuations in Clearlake lifted as crews gain containment
The forward progress of the Lake Fire in Clearlake was stopped and all evacuations were lifted Sunday evening.
Firefighters responded to Eastlake Drive near 2nd Street just after 2:15 p.m., where they found a fire with at least two structures involved.
As of noon Monday, the fire had burned 401 acres and was 40% contained, with forward progress stopped, according to Cal Fire.

Multiple structures were threatened as airtankers focused on the head of the fire.
Evacuation zones CLE-E126, CLE-E123, CLE-E135 and CLO-113 were in evacuation orders, but those have since been lifted. Zones CLE-E124 and CLO-E109 were also under evacuation warnings.
Damage assessment is underway, and crews will remain at the scene for several days.
KPIX Meteorologist Darren Peck says winds were coming in out of the northwest and pushing the fire toward the southeast.
