Illegal Fireworks Spark Massive Fire In Brentwood
BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- A massive vegetation fire Sunday night in Brentwood was sparked by illegal fireworks.
Contra Costa County firefighters raced to the scene near Hanson Lane and Homecoming Way around 10 p.m.
The fire jumped a nearby creek and set the yard of a roofing company ablaze.
It took about an hour to get control of the fire. Crews remained on the scene until early Monday morning mopping up hot spots.
