Fire Breaks Out Behind I-80 Rest Stop In Vallejo

VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- Fire crews are battling a one-alarm grass fire off of Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo Sunday afternoon, according to a fire official.

Firefighters responded at 5:18 p.m. to a report of a fire near the Hunter Hill rest area on westbound Highway 80, Vallejo fire Capt. Joel Dinsdale said.

Initial reports indicated that the grass behind the rest stop was burning, Dinsdale said.

As of around 5:45 p.m., Dinsdale said fire crews were still responding to the scene.
