RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- Capitol Corridor service was restored between Richmond and Martinez after a westbound train struck a big rig in Richmond Friday afternoon, according to Amtrak.

Train 713, the San Joaquin Service operating between Bakersfield and Oakland, struck the truck around two miles north of the Richmond station around 4:15 p.m., according to Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz.

There were no injuries to the approximately 131 passengers on board the train at the time of the incident or to the crew, Schulz said.

Passengers were warned to expect residual delays for the remainder of Friday evening.
