Body Discovered Inside Trash Container In Dogpatch Neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A body was found in a trash container behind a building Monday night in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood, according to police.

Around 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a body found in a container behind a building near 20th and Minnesota streets, Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

The city's medical examiner's office is conducting an autopsy on the body to determine how the person died.

As of Tuesday evening, the death was not being investigated as a homicide, according to Gatpandan.

No other information was immediately available.
