High-Surf Warning Issued For SoCal Coast
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Swimmers and surfers are being warned of high surf that will pound the Southern California coast for the next several days.
The National Weather Service says waves resulting from a long-period swell could top 7 feet starting Monday and rise to more than 12 feet into Wednesday.
Warnings go into effect at 10 p.m. Monday along the coasts of Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The weather service says swimming conditions will be dangerous beach erosion and minor flooding are possible.
