CHP Vehicle Collides With Station Wagon In Carmichael

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) - Two people were injured, including one CHP officer, in a crash on Wednesday morning.

The crash happed just before 4:30 a.m. in the area of Manzanita Avenue and Winding Way.

The CHP SUV carrying two officers was headed northbound on Manzanita Avenue when it collided with a station wagon carrying two people heading east on Winding Way.

The driver of the station wagon was trapped inside and had to be extricated by firefighters. She was transported to the hospital with a broken leg. The officer suffered minor injuries.

Investigators haven't said who is at fault in the crash.
