Some Evacuations Lifted, Highway 50 Reopened After El Dorado Co. Wildfire
EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) - The latest information on a wildfire burning in El Dorado County on Thursday:
4:31 p.m.
Cal Fire announced that the fire is now 12 acres and 30 percent contained. Evacuations are still in place south of Highway 50 for Crystal Springs Road, Crystal Springs court, Glennwood Drive, Superior Drive, Pony Express at Crystal Springs Road, 8 Mile Road in the affected area.

All evacuations have now been lifted, per El Dorado County authorities.
2:50 p.m.
Highway 50 has been reopened in the area, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.
One lane in each direction is open. Drivers are being asked to proceed with caution.

All evacuations north of Highway 50 have been lifted, the sheriff's office says.

Cal Fire says the wildfire is now 15 percent contained.
El Dorado County officials say Highway 50 remains closed in both directions in the area, eastbound at Camino and westbound at Sly Park. Pony Express Trail is also closed in the area at Carson and Ridgeway.

Cal Fire officials say forward progress of the fire has been stopped.
The fire jumped onto the north side of Highway 50, but firefighters say it only managed to burn about 50 feet onto the other side. About 10 acres have burned so far, Cal Fire says.
Highway 50 remains closed in both directions in the area. Caltrans says the Sly Park and Sawmill onramps are closed due to the fire.
According to the El Dorado County Officials, evaucations remain in effect for Crystal Springs Road, Superior Drive, Crystal Springs Court and Glenwood Drive.
1:05 p.m.
Evacuations are in effect for a neighborhood near Highway 50 just east of Carson, due to a vegetation fire.
The fire - which is burning in the area of Meyers Road - has burned 2-3 acres, a Cal Fire official says.
Caltrans says east and westbound Highway 50 is closed in the Camino area due to the fire jumping the highway. Pony Express Trail is also closed in the area due to the fire, authorities say.

Evacuations are in effect for 8 Mile Road in Camino, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office says.
An evacuation center is being set up at the Diamond Springs Fire Hall, located at 3734 China Garden Road in Diamond Springs.
