USA Today Bracketologist Has Pitt On The Bubble

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt basketball's 71-66 loss to Florida State at The Pete Sunday has certainly hurt their NCAA Tournament chances and may even have put them on the bubble.

USA Today Bracketologist Shelby Mast joined Starkey and Mueller to give his insight on Pitt and where he has them in his brackets.

"I've got them on the bubble now," Mast said.  "They've lost five of seven, none of those bad losses, but couple that with the fact that they've only really got one good win, and with their upcoming schedule, if they were to lose a couple of those, they could be in some serious trouble."

Mast also broke down what Pitt needs to do in their final four games in order to solidify their tournament chances.

"I think 3-1 would do it, 2-2 probably does it, I wouldn't risk 1-3 or 0-4," he said.

Mast also talked about Pitt's weak non-conference schedule and how that may or may not impact their seeding in the tournament.
