Police Searching For Man Who Broke Into Jeep

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Ross Township police are searching for a man who broke into a car in a parking lot on McKnight Road.

According to police, surveillance video shows the suspect approaching a Jeep Wrangler soft-top in the parking lot of Club Julian 24-Hour Fitness. He then unzips the back of the soft top and crawls into the Jeep from the trunk.

Police say when the vehicle owner returned to her Jeep, she noticed it had been rummaged through, but nothing of value had been taken.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5-feet-5-inches to 6-feet-5-inches tall. He was seen approaching the Jeep from the Brown's Lane side of Club Julian.

Anyone who is able to identify the suspect or who sees him in the area of the Northway Mall is asked to call 911.
