Pitt Panthers Release 2014 Football Schedule

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A nationally televised visit by Virginia Tech and a season-ending trip to Miami highlight Pitt's 2014 football schedule.

The Panthers, coming off a 7-6 season and a win over Bowling Green in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl, open 2014 on Aug. 30 against Delaware.

Road trips to Boston College and Florida International follow before Pitt returns home to host Iowa on Sept. 20 and Akron on Sept. 27.

Pitt plays at Virginia on Oct. 4 then welcomes Virginia Tech on Thursday, Oct. 16 to start a three-game homestand.

Georgia Tech and Duke visit Heinz Field on Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.

The Panthers play at North Carolina on Nov. 15, host Syracuse in the home finale on Nov. 22 and end the season at Miami on Nov. 29.
