Man Shot Multiple Times In North Braddock

NORTH BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- Police say a man was shot multiple times in North Braddock on Friday afternoon.

A 911 call was placed just before 5:20 p.m. reporting that a man had been shot by two people on Jones Avenue near Hawkins Avenue.

According to Allegheny County Police, while officers were being dispatched, a police car happened to be in the same area as the shooting and the officers in the car saw a man who appeared to be wounded running toward them.

Police say the 25-year-old man was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital.

The victim was last reported to be in serious condition, but he is expected to survive his injuries.

Police say the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

The identity of the suspects and the motive for the shooting have not yet been determined.

The investigation is ongoing.
