Motorcyclist Killed In Westmoreland County Crash

SALEM TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A motorcyclist was killed in an accident Sunday night in Westmoreland County.

It happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 6700 block of U.S. Route 22 in Salem Township near the Wagon Wheel Restuarant.

The Westmoreland County Coroner's Office says David Busovicki, 51, of Clymer, Indiana County, was traveling west on Route 22 at a high rate of speed when a Nissan SUV pulled out onto the road from a parking lot. The coroner says Busovicki's motorcycle collided with the rear of the SUV. He was pronouned dead at the scene.

The coroner says Busovicki was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

Route 22 West was closed for hours after the crash.
