Mon Wharf Reopens With Credit Card Kiosk

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Good news for drivers looking for parking options in Downtown Pittsburgh - the Mon Wharf is reopening with a brand new addition.

The Parking Authority says that the Mon Wharf is reopened with a new credit card kiosk at the bottom of the access ramp.

According to David Onorato, the Exectutive Director of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority, the kiosk is not waterproof, but if water levels get too high, they are able to remove the kiosk.

"As we monitor the water levels and close the wharf to parking prior to 22 feet, we will have time to remove the meter prior to the water reaching it," he said in an email to KDKA's John Shumway.

The kiosk accepts both cash and credit card payments.
