Man Accused Of Shooting Innocent Woman Expected To Stand Trial

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Knoxville woman credits a Get Marty story with helping her identify a man charged with shooting her in the chest.

"I flat lined twice. I was dead. He walked over me and didn't care if I died," says Denise Golden.

The Knoxville woman was shot in the chest last July on Brownsville Road while she was walking home from her job at McDonald's.

Following a Get Marty report that raised $5,000 in reward money, a witness came forward and identified 19-year-old Raymon Brown as the suspect.

On Wednesday, Brown appeared in court facing attempted murder, aggravated assault and conspiracy charges.

"We're adamant he's the wrong person," says Brown's attorney Bill Difenderfer.

Meanwhile, Golden told a judge she saw Brown on television in our Get Marty report and immediately identified him as the man who shot her.

Brown is expected to stand trial early next year.
