IUP Student Killed In Car Crash

INDIANA (KDKA) -- Officials have identified the man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Indiana County early Saturday morning.

The crash took place around 3:38 a.m. Saturday at South 6th Street and Washington Street.

The Indiana County coroner's office says 20-year-old Mason Taylor Cunningham, of Punxsutawney, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cunningham was a student at IUP.

According to the coroner's office, Cunningham was driving westbound on Washington Street and failed to stop at a stop sign. He then drove into the path of a tractor trailer that was traveling northbound on South 6th Street, and the two vehicles collided. The cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.
