Is PlayStation VR Worth The Cost?

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The next big thing in video gaming is here. PlayStation VR (that stands for virtual reality) arrived in stores Thursday.

Max Parker, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Game Guy, says Sony is trying to competitively price the unit to reach more consumers.

"Right now, it is the lowest priced VR headset, compared to the Oculus or Vive," he said.

PlayStation VR is exclusive to the PlayStation 4. The headset sells for around $400. For $500, consumers can purchase a bundle that includes the headset and other accessories.

"You really have to be into video games for this product," said Parker. "But, it is accessible and you don't have to have any video game experience to throw this thing on and have some fun."
