One Person Killed In Westmoreland Co. Crash

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person was killed in a car crash in Washington Township late Saturday morning.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. on State Route 66 at Walker Road.

The Westmoreland County coroner's office identified the victim as 34-year-old Richard Wysocki, of North Apollo.

According to the coroner's report, Wysocki was driving north on the road when he crossed the center line and drove into the opposite lane of traffic for unknown reasons. He then crashed into a flatbed truck that was traveling south in the opposing lane.

The coroner's report says Wysocki was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The truck driver was not hurt.
