Crews Respond To Ambridge House Fire

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) -- Crews responded to a house fire in Ambridge early Tuesday morning.

Quick work by firefighters prevented serious damage to the home on Maplewood Avenue.

The fire started in the basement of the home next to the furnace.

After putting out the fire, which consisted more of smoke than flames, firefighters aired out the home with fans.

Two people who were inside the home at the time were able to get out safely without injury.
