Black Friday Shoppers Get Head Start On Thanksgiving Night

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Serious shoppers are getting a head start on snagging the best Black Friday deals.

The Mall at Robinson is one of the area malls that opened its doors at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Even with the holiday and the Steelers game people are still hitting the stores!

Some people are serious about their Thanksgiving Day shopping. Others just go along to get along.

"I'm here pretty much just to be the wallet," said Norman Hargraves IV, of Scott Township.

Some people are on a mission to snag the hottest holiday sales.

"Always, yeah, Black Friday you are always looking for good deals. That's what I'm out here for," said Joshua Was of Carnegie.

"I'm just looking around to see what I can get my family for Christmas, just looking for the deals," said Emily Thermes of Weirton, WV.

While some shoppers are set on getting the best holiday deals, others are looking for a warm place to walk off that big Thanksgiving meal.

"Ate lots of food - it's hard to walk. I have got to lose some of the weight I just put on," joked Jame Franks of North Hills.

For others, a trip to the mall is something fun to do after dining with family or friends.

"We were just like hey after Thanksgiving you guys want to go walk around look for the deals watch people," said Nikki Luc of Pittsburgh.

Regardless of the reason, everyone is thankful for the good deals.

The Mall at Robinson will remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Black Friday.
