The victim told officers a man sitting on a nearby porch was the suspect. The suspect was later identified as 34-year-old Dontay Green.

Officers approached Green, who police say was armed with a handgun.

Police say "during the ensuing incident," a police officer fired one round at Green, striking him in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition and was expected to be released Sunday night.
