Apple Offers Free Battery Replacement To Fix iPhone 6s Issue

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Apple is working to correct a battery issue affecting some of the company's smartphones.

Apple reports it will replace batteries in in some of its 6s models because the phones unexpectedly shut down.

The company says the defect only affects a small percentage of phones manufactured between September and October 2015.

Anyone who thinks they are eligible for a fix should make an appointment at an Apple store. The replacement will be free.
